Fiscal Sponsorship
In June 2025, CANMN announced our fiscal sponsor relationship with Hatch & Flock, a local non-profit that shares our values and commitment to building community.
For five years, we have served thousands of families in Minneapolis with free food, diapers and supplies funded entirely by individual donations. However, fundraising has gotten more difficult every year and demand for our services continue to rise - along with the price of food. It costs over $1,000 a week for us to provide the basics.
We are committed to doing this work for as long as we can, and our biggest challenge has always been keeping our bank account above zero. With a fiscal sponsor, CANMN is now able to offer tax deductions for donations and apply for grants that are only available to registered non-profits.
CANMN remains the same volunteer-led grassroots organization you all know and love, but with a much clearer path towards financial sustainability.
